From the "Lexique des règles typographiques en usage à l'imprimerie nationale", the French language should be written with some accented characters and other ones said "diacritics" as À É È Ê æ Æ œ Œ ç Ç « » © Ø ...

We offer you here to install a specific keyboard for Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8, 10 (32/64 bits), 11 which permit you to fill this old gap of Windows on the characters used in French language.

Red characters have been added o the standard French keyboard. Magenta characters are new in Windows 7 and more.

You'll have to key these combinations to get the red / magenta characters, as following:

• bottom right symbol: [Alt Gr] + corresponding key
• top right symbol: [Alt Gr] + [Shift] + corresponding key

This keyboard has been created by ourself (with Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator) and tested with success on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10 32 & 64 bits & 11. It doesn't change anything on standard keys touches of Windows and will not change your way of keying. Although we have used it for years without failing, We don't guaranty or make any warranty of a bad usage.
